This game should not be getting all these good reviews
Barebones, full of bugs, assets the same as every other cube voxel thing.

Im thinking bots did these reviews but it just doesn't make sense.

Heaven forbid other people enjoy something that you don't.

I'll be leaving a good review soon, enjoying the game more than all the truck sims despite it being on the cartoon side of graphics.. But set that aside and you're alot more involved and you have a whole lot more freedom.
Yes it does need alot of work and some extra stuff going on but its decent compared to alot of games out there for the price.
The company management is great too, really relies on setting up a good route and your involvement rather than just clicking and have the computer do it all for you. Anyway I'll put what I think in the review at some point.

You opinion means nothing. Yet you think it's somehow so important that something must be wrong with everyone else and that you have to post this on the forums for everyone to know. There is a big bright review button. Have fun.

Taken directly from a game like Truck Simulator, truck sim does it better.

My issue is that this game is using public assets that 1000's of other game use. I played surroundead for months, i go and look and the assets are everywhere..most of these games sell then up and quit development a few months into it.

This is one of those games.

The amount of times ive seen the goatheaded dude hitchhiking in the middle of the oncoming lane of traffic is astounding.

You do realize that this is working as intended as you are supposed to run the ghosts over. They always spawn in the middle of roads because that's what they are supposed to do. You not knowing the game mechanics does not make this a bug.
As it's impossible to run over the normal people but only the goat goats could have been some hint to you. Also as you get a counter for killing the ghosts.

Actually your assets thing is a mute point because the person making the game has started phasing out the asset vehicles with ones that were made specifically with the game in mind. Compared to ATS and ETS2 this game is a lot more involved on the trucking side of things and that makes it more fun for people who like to run supply chains. Then you can do point to point races which are pretty fun to do as well. If you want to you can even go on patrol and pull people over that are breaking the rules of the road. It's basically an all in one driving simulation game that you can play with friends no matter what kind of driving game that they usually like to play.

Just because you don't like a game like this doesn't mean that other people aren't allowed to. It appeals to a lot of different people and lots of youtubers have started to cover it which is why there is a sudden flood of positive reviews. Many people just found out about this game and are enjoying it quite a lot.

Add to that this game is way cheaper than about any other trucking game. It's not actually surprising at all.

Just because i don't like a game cause its clearly a quick money bug filled messed, doesn't mean you can't enjoy said bug filled mess.

Take some of your own advice and just keep trucking lmfao

why are you even here? you clearly have no interest in the game and think its a cheap cashgrab.

name a game you enjoy and it will be called out as trash, and you will defend it.

go join the discord. there is clearly a playbase for this game.

show me a truck sim that has supply chains, towing jobs, taxi jobs, bus jobs, multiple terrain types. not just sit in a truck for several hours hauling boring loads.

not everyone has to have the exact same likes as you.

this who thing stinks of a bait post by someone who needs attention.
I helped dev with a bug because I did something they hadn't planned for anyone to do.
Then I like how the AI solves the traffic problem that you don't see in other games.
>doesn't understand the difference between voxel graphics and low-poly
>doesn't pay enough attention to know that public asset content is being phased out
>didn't bother to look at the extensive history of regular updates
>mistakenly assumes reviews left by verified purchasers are bots

Move along, nothing to see here. I'd sage this thread if I could.
Guys ... don't feed the troll. ;-)

Have fun and drive safe.
I enjoy the game a lot but I kind of agree with you.

For now, the game is too unpolished/unfinished, has too many flaws, and the reviews are a bit too generous, imo. I know it's early access, so I'll remain optimistic.

The game really needs some optimisation, some QoL features, and, above all, more roads.
Right now it's far too repetitive because the routes are always the same.

Coal/Oak offroad routes are a good idea, but there's only one route for each so it becomes extremely boring after 2 or 3 runs. If there were 3 or 4 routes for each, it would be amazing.

Same thing for basically all the big southern map. Too few roads, same routes all the time. I hope the dev is working on new things in the south.

We always need to keep in mind that the developer is a team of only 4 people. It's a bit wild to expect triple A GOTY content.

Well it's a sandbox game, and some people don't like sandbox games, but it has tons of content already so I don't know who told you it was barebones (over 50 vehicles of all different types, that you can customize and tune with a bunch of different upgrades, dynamic logistics system with supply and demand, NPC drivers, player owned companies and corporations, a huge open world with multiple towns, custom street racing events using the event editor, singleplayer or multiplayer, etc. etc.)

Also a lot of the 3D models in the game are custom models now that were made just for this game. In fact the most customizable cars in this game are all unique 3D models.

Anyway, for me personally, I have played over 200 hours of Motortown since I bought it a few weeks ago.

I am more addicted to this game than I have been for any video game in over a decade. It's actually insane how much depth this game has!! I thought the driving would be good but that the rest of the game would be shallow, but nope, the job systems all have depth and variety. Love this game!
