not sure.. I have seen some vids on AI workers but have not started that yet.

if you are looking for ways to make $$, you can make good money 70-90k doing garbage truck runs. grab a garbage truck from the Gosan truck area (west side of island), its like 450$ per 10min to rent but its worth it. once in truck, open map and uncheck everything but garbage to see where to pick it up. not the trash truck capacity in the upper right (0/10), fill it up then follow the yellow line to the power plant, dump off and profit.

I also hear that delivering santa items to santa's cabin in the mountain is worth a lot.

Sorry I could not help with AI drivers/

I do the garbage truck runs with a dumptruck. Get the trash bags from Pyosun fishing village and Gangjung. But when I need a break from that I do the santa cabin runs. Just when the AI does the santa runs I get basically get no coins. Im kind of finding out that if you dont have a fleet of vehicles AI jobs are not worth it.

I think it depends on where your trucks pick up and drop off items. from the videos I have seen the city has a living economy and you need to be supplying places that need stuff. if you have a route to a grocery store and its full, it will not need your items.. at least thats how i understand it.

check youtube, some decent vids on starting a business.

I'll take a gander on TY.
The payout is so bad, I think the primary benefit is the accomplishing of the task. For example, delivering products to drain an industry so that you can continue running a profitable inputs. Whereas otherwise you'd have to personally run a less profitable route yourself.

Right now form my experience AI routs are only good for town bonuses, and small deliveries and bus routes. They are good for fuel or oil runs to supply things like plastic and containers. Assign them to things really far away. Best bet for making money is to complete a contract.
30-40k per day ... nice passive income ... with my ai routes
If you're like me and have bought a fuel tanker, a dump truck, a cement truck, a box truck, a bus, a wrecker, a garbage truck and a semi with multiple trailer types, you can only drive one at a time. So why wouldn't you throw the others on a route for a passive income and if you decide you want to do something, you just pull it off the route? I figure if I can make 10k in passive income while I do a few wrecker missions or police patrols, why wouldn't I do it? It doesn't cost me anything but clicking "assign to route" once you get it setup.

Your AI company fleet will get small payouts per delivery, but if you have them setup correctly to fill town bonuses then you will reap a lot more profit on the jobs you complete yourself.
If you have multiple of the same kind of vehicle, you can also lead them in a convoy of sorts, do some creative traffic control at the delivery point, and use each of them to help complete bigger contracts for even more profit.

TLDR: You're looking at the short term, there are much more long term profits to be had.

Ai drivers are mostly there for 2 reasons, 1 to raise the town bonus without the need for player involvement, and 2 to do the boring jobs; for example, if you want to do only the premium pizza deliveries that pay really well, and/or you just like motorbike delivery better, then you can have 1 container truck running containers to the cheese and meat factories, another running fuel and milk to the cheese factory (and fuel to the meat one), and a final truck delivering the meat and cheese to the pizza/burger joints, and that way you always have the pizza/burger joints full of premium deliveries
