I've been picking up trash for the past 2 days, so that would be consistent with the drop in demand...
Just when I've finished optimizing my garbage truck 😅
If you have some money to invest and want a challenge buy a Jemusi semi and dump trailer from the base of the logging camp trail on the south island (just down the road from the first gas station). I believe this will cost $180k but you'll want a bit more for the upgrades. Take it to the tuning shop on the raceway island and equip it with the most powerful engine, a turbo, long intake, switch FDL to 4.11 and some upgraded brakes cant hurt along with the best winch you have access to. Set your marker for the mine pit in the southeast of the map. Once you get to the more rugged part of the trail switch into 6L. There's some difficult climbs so for the steeper hills try to build up some speed (around 25mph) to get up them. If you aren't going to make it try to get your parking brake locked and use your winch to pull yourself up. Once you get to the mine load up 10 tons of coal for Dasa Harbor. It's a little harder to get back down the trail with a full load but that's the fun of it. Once you make it back onto asphalt and drive over to the harbor you'll make around $160-200k (depending on price fluctuation). It's not the biggest money maker but it's one of the most fun IMO due to the challenge of navigating the terrain up to the mine.
Alternatively, get a flatbed truck or trailer and hit the 3 farms in Gapa for any pallets going to santas workshop. A semi can haul 22 pallets at $5-10k per pop.
So I just did a trash collection run after getting curious from you guys postings, and I got normal payout. 82.120 coins.
The payouts were not nerfed. Did you dump the trash partially outside of the designated zone? If you spill you won't get paid for the spillage.
Thanks for checking out the prices 👍
This is not a spilling issue, on my last 2 runs I got the same exact prices for a full compacted truck (something like 17000 coins).
I sell the remaining bags by hand and they all pay only 408 coins.
Maybe there is a timer that nerf the price.
Out of curiosity, how does one optimize a garbage truck? Bigger engine? Better springs? Blinged out with LED lights?
It would be so boring if the pay were always the same, in my opinion!
Yes, first of all the gearbox and the final gear. I'm trying to find a balance between being able to leave quickly after each pick-up point, but also having an acceptable top speed for traveling from city to city.
Then good suspensions to make the truck more stable and avoid rollovers. Basically, shorter shocks, anti-roll bars, wider tracks and slightly harder springs.
I also added two fuel tanks to make fewer stops at the pump.
But you've given me the idea of experimenting by adding leds to see inside the body when you have to throw bags in at night 😄
I made a run earlier and got a good paycheck this time too.
I'm all for fluctuating incomes, but being paid only 20% of the usual pay without knowing why is a bit odd, I'd just like to understand why and where to find the information.
To be honest, I think that collecting rubbish pays a bit too much compared to the other activities in this version, but the fluctuation is too high too.
