Love the game, but THE DRIVING IS VERY BAD!!!
I've spent like $150,000 buying and tuning a Stagon.

If I turn a LITTLE TINY BIT TOO FAST with NO THROTTLE then the car immediately enters a 4 wheel skid. This means that the tires need a LOT more grip in them. It's not a suspension issue.

If you try to correct a skid, over-corrections are inevitable because the steering holds don't reset between full locks. This is also true for tactor jackknives, and trailer jacknives. If you skid in a tractor-trailer, the only way to prevent a roll-over is straight up luck lol.

Finally, if you get into trouble, the brakes are worthless lol. Increasing brake power simply makes the tires lock-up, and as covered above they don't have enough grip.

Note: I'm pretty sure that "downforce" in this game is just a weight increase and not actual downforce. Are there any plans to update that?

I have the steering assists off (except ABS and half traction), and all elements of driving dynamics are bad lol. Am I missing something or is it just bad?

P.S. Games with good steering: SnowRunner, American Truck Simulator, Mon Bazou, My Summer Car, Forza Horizon 5, etc. I'm not asking for award-winning controls, i just need functional.

Complaining about how the driving sucks and you list you stupid arcade games?

Snowrunner might be an exception, but the rest?

This game has a more accurate steering and driving than ATS and ETS2.

If there is something missing it is your expierence driving different vehicles in RL.
Honestly I agree, keyboard feels awful, controller is better but not perfect, honestly just invest in a wheel though, not only will you love it but it makes driving in the game butter smooth and perfect you feel in full control it was game changing for me way more immersive too

I think this is not a game issue but rather a deadzone vs. skill issue. The driving is great and yes, its not a full slam the stick in the corner game. Reminds me a lot about Trackmania when I first started out

Driving feels quite accurate to me, at least for the heavies. Off-road physics need some work but overall, driving heavies is a joy in this game.

Snowrunner is VERY arcadey and doesn't allow you to disable hold brake to reverse.

The point of listing those games was to show a wide range of car games with acceptable steering.... everything from super indie titles, to vehicle simulations, to race-focused. All those different genres of car games have acceptable car controls, so Motor Town can have it too.

If you play with anything other than a wheel of course the driving isn't going to feel good. Do you typically control automobiles with a Razer keyboard or Xbox controller in real life?

The game is playable on Xbox controller, you just have to fine tune it

This game physics are pretty damn good. Is very realistic. Those games you mention have terrible physics. Snow runner being maybe the only exception. Try driving in real life and see how it works

The games default setting for dead zone on controller is way too relaxed. reduce it from 25% to 15% or 12%
Reduce your deadzones and smooth out your inputs. It's not the games fault if you drive like garbage. All your skidding suggests that you are doing inputs that are far too hard. If you are jack knifing semis with regularity then you aren't learning from your mistakes and you aren't slowing down earlier depending on load weight like you should be.

"This game doesn't act like (insert game here) that I've played before which means it needs to change/ its bad." is a terrible argument. One usually made by people who just don't want to learn.

As an aside I run the older cabover semi in drift which shuts basically all the assists off and I've never jack knifed it or rolled it over/ ran into walls. I've seen why other people do though. Cause lots of people treat everything in this game like it's a race to get to the destination instead of taking the proper care with their driving.

When I brake at 25 MPH in any car irl, my car doesn't skid for 15 feet, and that is with normal tires and suspension.

The heavies in this game are really good. The cars are trash.
The four-wheel sliding is quite disastrous for small cars in this game.
They lack a ton of grip.
Its neither fun nor realistic.

Force Feedback also doesnt really represent the losing grip in this game, which is unfortunate.
BeamNG did it better.
