[Beta question] Does Linky D help more with weight than Link S?
Does anyone know is the Linky D helps distribute weight better due to each axle having 2 tires compared to the Linky S with only 1 tire per axle.

I run containers a lot, and constantly am over the weight limit per axle.

Well, x2 tyres number = half the weight per tyre so yes.
You would still have the same weight per axle, without shredding your tyres.

Also, I believe the D varient has a longer lead arm for larger trailer turns without rubbing corners.

the S2 is longer better for box trailers and the D2 is better for the tipper and shorter trailers

Two axles are better than one, but singles vs doubles doesnt change anything about your vehicle being overloaded. More load needs more axles. the 40 tons GVW rule stays the same even if you have 10 axles.

Im wondering if the duel tires on the D are better for traction/stability than the singles on the S Since ive noticed using the dollys tend to fishtail very badly
However ive only tried the S dollys and im not sure if the D is any better in that regard

D has less tire ware and spreads the break wear a little better than the S, The S series has a longer tow arm if using larger trailers, however, and almost required for the Kuda and Atlas Dry that are boxy themselves and will cause body damage on sharp turns with the D varient.

The 2S is better with weight than 1S, as 2D is better then 1D

Just drive around the 2 weight check points.
80-100t is fun, with big engine and 13/18spd.

With the Atlas 8x4 and Dumper trailer i always use the S1, for offroad.
D1+2 have shorter drawbar, easy to get trailer stuck beside truck due to corners interfering.
S2 also can get stuck, collision somewhere between trailer landing gear, back dolly axle/bumper. This is really annoying when it happens somewhere offroad where you can barely move. S1 does not get stuck und drives well enough, with some mods.
D2 with longer drawbar would be nice.
