SOLVED - Game starts in a teeny-tiny window?

OK, I didn't find an answer after searching so this may be a weird "uh, it's just you, dude" problem (or I didn't use the right words to find an answer due to poor search ninja skills.)

My default screen resolution is 3840 x 2160. Every time I start the game it's in a little tiny window in the upper left corner of the monitor. What setting have I missed that would make the game not just start full screen as expected instead of having to dink around through settings to make it full screen?

Once I click on Options>Graphics>Apply (without even changing anything in the teeny-tiny postage-stamp-sized window,) it expands to full screen.

Fortunately, everything is great after that. :)

Hi, I am experiencing similar issues. responding to subscribe. Running on AMD btw,

Something (not exact) similar happens to me. To avoid that i click something else, so the game starts in background, and after it loaded up its in the right resolution when i bring it back to the front.

Commenting to add to this. Happens here too. 4K Res w/ HDR. Settings in game are 4K Windowed Fullscreen. I only have to change res to 'Anything Else' and then cancel for it to then be Windowed Fullscreen properly. This persists through updates.
Specs:
OS Win 10
GPU: RTX 3090
CPU: AMD 3900XT
RAM: 32GB

Hey everyone, the (brilliant!) fordlord figured out the solution nearly a year ago! Their topic was "game starts too big" vs our "game starts too small, so I didn't find it during my search. Here's the fix!:
