How do I lock my diff?
I have tried all of the diff options, and I don't get which diff has an OPTION to lock the diff. Switching between Comfort Driving mode, and Sport, or Drift doesn't seem to do anything as far the diff, just raises the shifting RPM. Buying the Locked Diff part in the shop seems to just give locked diff all the time. But which one is an open diff with an option to lock it? There's a Lock Diff button in the control options, T by default, but it does absolutely nothing. And there's no button option for a controller, so I changed it to LB + Left Stick press, and again - does nothing.

IRL, pretty much all trucks that have diff lock, it's a switch, a toggle, it's not locked all the time. On my real life work truck - International 9400i, I don't have diff lock, but I have PDL, which essentially locks one side of the tandems. But again, It's a switch I have to flip.

In Motor Town it seems to be either Locked Diff on all the time, or ♥♥♥♥ you spin tires and get stuck. I'm trying to get my heavy trucks, that Freightliner cabover, and the 10kL Dump Truck setup to haul both on the road and off road. How do I manually lock the damn diffs?!

Only certain vehicles can switch to locked. I would like the option to at least buy a switch or I could even accept old school on the wheel switching for awd vehicles.

Yeah only the 4WD vehicles have the option to go into locked mode.

the only ones that have the option to manually lock are the brutus models and the jemusi models. on that tho, they only lock in 4L and 6L.

alot of ppl use the 1.5 dif for that reason, tho i personally either use the 2way or just full lock and really havent had an issue.

one thing offroad is the assists will mess you up bad if it gets bouncy.

they really should just add the lockable diff to all larger trucks (the cabovers and longnoses)

i think its a silly game balance type thing so you cant just offroad huge loads out of the mountains, but if im gonna suffer through that road why cant i do larger loads...

also as mentioned if you are offroading just turn your assists down or off, abs and rollover in particular. it will help alot.
