Racing jobs/events?

I'm really glad I discovered this game. I've always been a fan of both transport sims and open world racing games, and this game seems like the perfect blend between the two. Really great idea for a game!

I'm still fairly early in the game, making money through jobs to tune up my Stinger a bit. It would be great if I can go racing with it, maybe make a bit of extra money doing so but, I don't see any racing events at the racetracks. Do you actually get racing events at racetracks?

From what i know, im pretty sure you can. Im very new as well think i got 10+ hours. In the text chat from time to time (playing singleplayer) i do see something saying "Fastest lap was-" so im pretty sure its doable

Check the start/pause menu, in the top right you will see a time attack leaderboard that specifies a car, engine, and track. Buy the car if you don't own it, drop the engine it's telling you in, and go to the track it tells you. Whoever can set the fastest lap before the event timer runs out gets $10k, second place is $9k, and so on

I noticed something about a time attack event before (whilst being at a track, the leaderboard on the pause menu is blank), will keep an eye out.

Although I was looking forward to proper racing as shown on the store page. Maybe I should just visit more tracks and see what pops up.

Those races are done from the main menu of the game. They pay out pretty decent for what they are.
