That might just be referring to the main island, a few updates back there was another one added that's bigger than the main island

Small island is roughly 3,5x12 km
Big island is roughly 18x15 km

Give and take a bit, it ends at just above 300 sq km.

I measured by opening the map, then situated my chr by one end of a straight piece of road crossing the small island and put the destination marker on the other end, it was 3 km.

I zoomed out and used calipers on screen to measure the 3 km part which at my zoom level came to 2,5cm, then measured the size of the islands with the calipers. :-)

Just to add - the mountainous nature of the terrain and type of vehicle you’re driving contribute to the sense of scale. It’s very much not as the crow flies; the roads are winding through the hills and valleys.

The “Olle Ring” bus route which does a lap around the outside of the smaller Jeju island takes approximately half an hour.

Driving a tractor-trailer truck with a heavy load down to the oil refinery (SW corner of the bigger Oji island) from the Jeju harbour and back can be over an hour and a half or more depending on how powerful your truck is.

Naturally, a sports car will do it all much faster!
