Next question and I'm sure there will be loads to come. I fancied having a go at rubbish collection, you know, to keep the towns/cities nice and clean. I got in one but no job came up for that either... what simple thing am I missing. Probably a cleaning license. ?.
I've watched you-tubers but no one really shows the ins & outs of how to really play. I like jumping right in and learning but sometimes one can get stuck at the simplest of things.
Its simpler than that, just get a garbage truck (there is only one garbage vehicle in the game, the "compacty"), either bought, rented or tasiing a spawned one (they spawn at the energy plant on the south west of Jeju), and once inside you will get all garbage "jobs" on your map.
They are always "active" and present, just not marked on the map; you can see some garbage containers and bins with the cargo prompt, those are to load garbage to a garbage truck, and you also have garbage bags just spawning around places, you can either drop them on the back door of the garbacge truck and compact them inside, or just throw them on any other vehicle (you can use the small cage trailer if you want to do that), simply take them to the drop off interaction space on the energy plant.
On the townie, its a bad starter bus, as the townie costs 40k, plus 20k for the license, so 60k total, and only holds 7 people; while the liliput (small shuttle bus) costs 60k but has the bus license preinstalled, and holds 11 persons.
Same way you can consider the trophy taxi a very cheap car, because it comes with the taxi license preinstalled, so you get a 15k-10k=5k car + the 10k license, that you can uninstall, and reinstall on another vehicle.
On that note while the townie is not a good bus, its the only vehicle that can install a taxi license, bus license, and carry cargo (it has cargo space on the roof); so its the most versatile one, but like a duck, it can walk swim and fly, but its only mediocre at all of them.
Yeah I bought the Liliput bus. Didn't bother turning my Townie into a bus in the end, like you say, it's kind of not worth it. I guess it's a good starter bus, didn't know about the roof rack, thought it was just for looks.
