couldn't buy truck after I rented it

I was at the car dealer in GU-JWA (north-east) and rented the Brutus Wrecker to try it once.
I parked it back in place where I took it after 3 or 4 minutes.
I waited another 10minutes but the price tag wouldn't appear again over the truck.
When I stepped next to the truck the binding help only said "press x to drive" and not "press x to drive or rent" as it was before I rented it once.
I pressed x anyway just to see if I would get the dialog again to choose between buying or renting but I was seated right away and in the chat log it said "rent extended".
I stepped out of the truck, went to the kitchen to make me a sandwich ate it and came back to my computer at least 20min later.
Still there was no price tag and I exited the game to menu.
I immediatly re-started that game back up and the price tag was there and I was able to buy the truck.

Not being able to buy after you rented once may be a bug?

the rent timer pauses, or rather the renting state sticks, when you exit the vehicle. so you got to despawn it in a parking space, or reload
