Servers? How?
I've researched the topic but that has me even more confused. How can I run my own server or at least rent one?

I downloaded the dedicated server on Steam but that seems incomplete.

I searched Google and found a couple of servers I could join but could not find any server hosting companies offering servers for this game or any guides on setting up and hosting my own server.

It seems like it has to be possible because others are clearly doing it but how?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

You should join the games discord to ask about setting up
a server. The people there know alot about it and are very
friendly.

You can find the link for the discord in this thread:

Have fun and drive safe. :letsgo:

Dedicated server software isn't publicly available yet.

1. Stop that service
2. See if other service can use a different port
3. Not run dedicated Motortown

Looks like the dedicated server is only available to Windows, if you purchased the game, right?
Did someone try to onstall it via steamcmd on Linux, probably as Container?
Would like to host it on my VPS for my friends.

Only Windows, you can rent a VPS and install Windows Server and you're off to the races.

Thanks for this. It's crazy that they want us to join a Discord server for basic information.
