Hey man! My specs are the same as yours besides the graphics card,
which mines is a 960 4gb.
Though same results with the CPU usage..
It's best to wait for an optimisation update, just figured that out lol
maybe a upgrade? ;)
What good would that do if the game isnt even using all of my current hardware?
boost is max 2,93 ghz.
gpu is maybe only for medium graphic quality
So this isnt my normal performance. This is because I had 41 unstrapped items I was hauling, which will drop ANY PCs performance due to the added physics.
My normal FPS runs around 50fps but I have it limited to 30fps to keep my gpu from running 100% and hot for no real reason. Also, I run epic settings @ 1920x1080 with the above mentioned framerates just fine.
The point of the thread, was to point out that my framerate dropped significantly but my cpu/gpu usage did not change. So I feel this is a huge optimization issue as clearly the game engine is NOT making any efficient use of the available processing power I have, which is clearly plenty for this game.
Also, I have a 970 not a 920. And the 970 boost is actually 3.34GHz but I turned turbo off so it only runs 3.2GHz.
Yes. In Jan of 2012 when I built this computer, I knew that more cores would be the most useful aspect of a lasting cpu. The 970 was, at the time, the only available 6 core that was attainable.
Alot of people back then gave me crap for it because the 970 was on a "dead socket" and its triple channel memory configuration did not outperform dual channel like they were expecting.
But,I have to say its been a beast of a processor. Unfortunately, even till this day not many games can take advantage of more than 2 cores and Im not sure why.
My rig has even survived being submerged for 2 weeks from a flood. The only thing that happened was there is a bit of corrosion in places, and I lost alot of my USB ports (I only have one working USB3 now and 4 working USB2). That was over 2 years ago now.
Cpu Intel I5-6600 3.3GHZ 4-core
Ram 2x16GB DDR4 2133MHZ Dual Channal 32GB total
GPU HP OEM RX5500 4GB GDDR6
I play on epic settings at 1080P and get above 55fps easy without problems most of the time.
How do you set the physics to the CPU?
For all NVIDIA GPUs ...
Open your NVIDIA configuration tool ... go to 3D Settings ---> Configuration of Surround, Physix ... set the PhysX to the CPU ... accept / save the settings ... close the configuration tool and reboot your computer.
Thnx, but can I set this to just a single game or do I have to set this for the whole PC?
