So far, You can rent your vehicle to your friend and share the profit.
And there are special cargos that 2 or more truckers can work together to get more profit.
(sand -> concrete -> fine sand)
There will be a police job that you can work with your friend (or against :) )
There will be an offroad delivery that multiple vehicles with winches are required or even a slight push from a friend(both by vehicle or character) can make a difference.
Some oversized-hauling with an escort might be fun but I'm not sure it's replayable.
There are few more ideas but what do you guys think? Any ideas will be appreciated!
And I also noticed with the bus jobs. The lowest level bus I could find is a driver level 3 bus. Is there a possibility of maybe adding a mini-bus or something at a lower level? Gives the demo players a chance to see what the bus driving job is like with the driver level being limited to 2.
Other than that, I do actually like the idea of this game. Seems like it could be a fun one once you get into it. Me and a buddy jumped on it the other night expecting us to be bored with it in like an hour or two (with it being a demo). We didn't quit until about 4 or 5 hours later, and I played another 4 or 5 hours the next day. It really pulls you in. Lol
I'm definitely getting it when it comes out if it doesn't cost too much.
For anything in the realm of postal/delivery vehicles, its easy to see how a second person to operate the delivery function while another drives.
For anything militaristic the roles are similar; a second person could operate as a turret of some description.
For the police, two players working together in one vehicle or separate have strategies available to them that a single driver wouldn't, and the possibility of separate objectives that lead to a mutually beneficial end.
In general, a second car can be used for winching, but also to jump start a players battery. A second player might come equipped with more vehicular maintenance options than another.
If your game is open thematically to less legal trades, there is a lot of potential for what multiple players could do working together in a theft/getaway situation. With a player working as an escort for another who may be on foot temporarily, or another player might drive a more defensive vehicle with the intent of escorting a "vip" car.
For anything in the realm of construction there is an array of vehicles that could work toward a singular goal (digging, laying concrete etc) or, players could juggle multiple of these goals at once, or serve multiple functions on one type of larger vehicle.
Long haul cargo on freighters or trucks could come with arduous environmental hazards and fuel economy problems that could be resolved by a second player. One player might be able to serve a visual role for a driver, getting out of a truck to assist with parking, or staying in the truck and aiding the drivers visibility in some way. If the game map is elaborate a second player might even watch over a GPS while the primary player focuses on the road.
I would love to see some commercial aspects to properties owned and maybe designating properties as being residential vs commercial. Commercial would allow blueprints appropriate to that zone (garages, repair shops, warehouses, stores etc). Residential is needed depending on employees in a corporation...
Convoy bonuses for corporate members in a party doing the same contract or delivery would be a nice perk.
We need MORE variety in tanker trailers more than the 40' tonkor (think thats the right one), this trailer is a trap, if fully loaded with oil most rental trucks cannot haul this without over heating constantly. If we had 3 tanker trailers of smaller sizes, then this would be avoided as covered by cargo trailers.
Why are recovery jobs shared in a corporation? We found that using a rented recovery vehicle shared profits in a corporation regardless if the corporation owned the recovery vehicle...seems different from all other game loops we tried (to see what was shared and whats not).
Dedicated servers +1
Great game, loads of fun. Surprised my friend with how enjoyable the driving and challenges are and the tuning options...its very fun and I look forward to its continued development!
