If by rpg stuff you mean dialogue choices and long narrative scenes between characters.. also no.
Like what? Equipment? Ender Lilies has that. Leveling? Ender Lilies has that but it really only increases attack power by a small amount. Does it have droppable items from enemies? Well, no, but I kind of don't miss having to grind enemies for rare drops.
Personally I feel the biggest "feature" of CV compared to other Metroid games is a lack of real platforming. Yes, you jump from here to there but there's never any real "challenge" to the SOTN version of platforming...it's almost entirely about fighting enemies. I feel games like Hollow Knight, maybe Blasphemous, The Messenger and Aeterna Noctis are Metroid clones with much more emphasis on tough platforming. I feel Ender Lilies does NOT belong in this group...platforming is in a few areas but it never felt like a focus.
>I think they are essential
I find leveling to be very unnecessary in games like this and most games with leveling usually results in my character being OP by the end. And it's not like I grind...it's a natural result of exploring the game and killing stuff...they design these games to be balanced around people who do not explore everything. I don't think Metroid clones need this at all. I enjoy all of the Igarashi CV games but the leveling always results in the game being nerfed. Metroid clones don't need that.
>and if you like them like HK does you are not a metroidvania you are a metroid like
Bro, "Metroidvania" is not a defined term...it's a gimmick phrase made up by a journalist after SOTN came out...this guy did NOT come up with a list of qualifications to that term. Whatever "rules" you're coming up with about what makes a game a "Metroidvania" is completely made up by you and means little.
And I hate to inform you but they're ALL Metroid-clones or Metroid-likes. This includes Igarashi's games. I feel the "Metroidvania" term gives SOTN way too much credit because it ripped off Metroid just like all the other games. Metroid is the game that started this design...SOTN just borrowed it like anyone else. It doesn't deserve the credit of getting the genre named after it.

I hope he doesn't mean this because these are not "RPG elements." All games of all genres can have dialogue and choices.
OP, if you want a trueblue CV clone obviously there's Bloodstained but I'd also recommend Timespinner which is VERY similar to SOTN.
