As for enemies, I'm straining to remember and I don't think there's any...though there could be some regular enemies I've forgotten, and I can't find a good list of them...even the game doesn't have an enemy listing.
None of the bosses are spiders and while the final boss does have some extra appendages that could be considered "spider-esque," it's still a humanoid creature.
Thank you!
Yeah it sucks, and if it makes sense in universe I can understand why devs choose to put it in their game (see; hollow knight, which is a game about bugs) but it is infuriating to see how many devs think it's a cool idea to add them which makes me unable to play some games (without mods)
Not everyone understands it too, some people will just say things like well good way to get over it. Sadly a phobia doesn't work like that.
For me not all spider(like) creatures are scary, for example the ones in both Ori games, death's door and the enemy spiders in hollow knight are no issue.
However the crawling things in the foreground of hollow knight, the spiders in Skyrim and the spiders in Hogwarts legacy did trigger it. I think if they feel too realistic it scares me and the ones in ender lilies are realistically enough. But I'll ask my boyfriend to kill these two and hope I won't encounter much more.
Thanks again, I really love this game so it would be a shame if I was not able to continue playing
Problem is that the area is mandatory for ending the game
Thank you! I will ask my boyfriend to slay the spiders for me, that's his job in our household, lol. He's the one dealing with the spiders, both real and game spiders. But good to know it's the only area they are, that makes it a lot more bearable
That area has a lot of spiders, but there are as far as I can see no spiders anywhere else in the game. Tbh when I first saw them I found them scarier (maybe because I didn't really look and immediately returned to respite) but when I returned I noticed I could handle them myself. Still dislike them but they're really predictable and part of what I hate about spiders is the unpredictably.
There's also a "mini-boss" spider in that area, but that can be skipped.
