Can I lock myself out of an ending?
I know that there are three endings, so I just wanted to make sure that I don't lock myself into having to replay the game.

I assume that ending A is the "normal" one that I'll get after completing the game without fulfilling some special condition, and it will get locked like the first ending in Hollow Knight or Blasphemous so I shouldn't get _too_ completionist-y right now. Is this correct?

No, you can't. In fact it's recommended you trigger each ending to unlock special items before going to NG+.

There's an early ending where you walk into an area. talk to an NPC and choose to give up on your mission (it's not permanent, you just reload your save and continue normally). And then the other two endings are gotten by fighting the final boss with a certain item equipped or not. It doesn't matter which you get first, the final boss will never despawn.

The only thing to keep in mind is that upgrade materials are finite and limited, you can't upgrade each spirit to maximum in one NG cycle, so don't spread your upgrades too thin, focus on the spirits you're actually using. Nothing else is missable.

You can get all endings and 100% the game on a single savefile, the game will just put you back at the last checkpoint after getting one. Just don't worry about it

Great, thanks! And I think that the stagnant/furious materials aren't _truly_ limited, just very slow to grind for, right?

Basically, you can refight bosses when resting at a checkpoint (kind of like in Sekiro), the difficulty will be scaled to your current chapter/NG progress, so they will never be a pushover, and you get some materials if you win, but it's very little and not worth the grind, might as well just play NG+.

Having said that, there are no achievements tied to maxing out all spirits, but I still recommend playing NG+ because most bosses get new moves, oftentimes resulting in drastically different and much more challenging fights, and it's just really fun.

Funny enough, I accidentally triggered endings in the wrong order.
Since as a person, I like to explore all areas before advancing, so the lake part I though was important story beat, so I explored everything and got 2nd ending, so I started up again to quickly get 1st ending and then get the last ending.

Funny.

as much as people say and I would like to agree with, I wanna mention you can unlock every spirit to it's max, however it would take a very long time and is probably not worth the time .... What I mean is that as you kill the enemies and in doing so, slowly, you sometimes get the materials from said kills .... Correct me if I am wrong if this is to be true, however, I have not done this and have personally already 100% the game myself before this came to pass. But to my knowledge, and from my play-style, I take longer than your usual adversary and enjoy the game differently. And with this I had always gotten more from farming the materials if I was too lazy to travel anywhere else. You just need to kill ALOT of them and eventually you will collect enough blight to upgrade.

Feel free to prove me wrong but that is what I have learned from playing but I do not know if there is a code to prevent blight creatures to eventually stop dropping items after you collect a certain amount. But anyone is more than willing to try if they like, just wanted to put that out there. Because I personally believe that until someone has tried this, I think with determination, and if my theory is true, could get all the spirits to max level.

I know for a fact that I 100% the map and items but there is to many skills to get fully upgraded on first try, unless you wanna farm for hours on replaying boss fights. It's just recommended to new game plus it with the stashes that give you like hundred or something upgrade points.
