Kill Gerrod, then smash from higher than normal. All instances have a floor above so you can smash from on high to destroy the thicker red floors.

How do you smash the one to the cell immediately to the right of the collapsed shack? There's no way to get on the roof to the left, and all the platforms to the right of it are too far away

You can't, currently. There are a couple places that you can't smash things without cheats.
