Well, I have read this convo with the knight as literally that - he wouldn't leave a child out in the rain. Most adults wouldn't.

I'm also curious about her age, because her model looks 10 at most, but in the cut scenes she looks to be in her teens or above (hard to tell with the art style).

Still wouldn't make sense to me and thank god that the game confirmed that she is not a child. I hate the just because it's a fantasy you can get away with making everything unrealistic and I hate the child acting like a little adult trope.
