Unable to enter the catacombs

How can I enter the catacombs? I've been stuck for hours trying to find the entrance. I killed the Witch and the Gerrod but I have zero clue on to processed.

iirc you need the ability to swim underwater to get there, try exploring Witch's Thicket

If you can swim and have the ground smash, you go right-down-right (roomwise) from the collapsed shack respite.

I didn't realize it was possible to break through the larger red barriers by jumping higher and doing the ground smash. I did I tried once or twice and it didn't work so I assumed you needed another power up.

I was also confused regarding this ability. It actually mentions that height impact its power, but it is easy to assume this is related to damage it deals, rather its capability to destroy obstacles.

Isn't there also a mini video showcasing how it works in the tutorial? I thought it was pretty clear personally...
