Boss Order

I got stuck after Julius and reading a few topics here I get the sense I did the bosses in a different order than most... I did Siegrid > Eleine > Gerrod > Silva > Hoenir > Julius but I'm not entirely sure where to go next. The boss that gave me the most trouble was Eleine and I beat Hoenir on the first try so I was surprised to read about people having trouble with him. Did I miss something major?

Nah, you can play as you want, some things will turn out better for you than for others and the opposite case. Taking into account your progress, look in the area after the catacombs
Btw I played like this: Siegrid > Gerrod > Eleine > Silva > Hoenir > Julius and I didnt have many problems

You did pretty much the dev-intended order except for Gerrod and Eleine (Eleine is considerably easier after Gerrod).
You have only Ulv left (twin spires boss), and then it's Verboten Domain.

Hoenir got nerfed in the last couple patches to not be the pain in the ass he originally was.

It's also funny because he defeated the Blight Lord before defeating Miriel, something technically impossible.

Ehhh... To be honest. I have managed to beat Ulv as my 5th boss, so if I am able to defeat this guy in that moment (level 55), the order is not so much important.

I beat the bosses in the same order as OP.

OP, don´t worry about what you are experiencing. It is a simple matter of playing differently. Depending on what spirits you use and how levelled up they are, you can fight bosses in different ways, and find some easier than others.
