Settings Options (Explainations)
Alright, I am completely lost on what all the game settings mean.
Could anyone break it down for me, or is their a website with all the information instead
of me having to look up every setting individually. I mean I understand most of the settings but I don't understand which one would be better audio performance or graphical.

1. Is Direct 3D9 better than OpenGL ?
I understand GL is faster at rendering frames but at the cost of quality ?
I also understand Software Rendering means it puts the load on your CPU.

2. Does windowed scale refer to upscaling or improving the resolution if I use x5
3. Would choosing the option to use Smooth Scaled Sprites be better ?
4. Should I render sprites at screen resolution ?
5. Should I enable threaded audio ?

Sorry if all this appears ridiculous, and I know it's trail and error I can figure it out
myself I suppose, I just wanted community feedback. I wish each option had it's own
description in the settings launcher.

1.I would leave it as OPENGL. Direct3D should be fine. If you want to play at 2 fps i'd go with Software Rendering [Direct Draw]

2. Windowed refers to scale of the window size.
3. No.
4. I'd leave that as it is.
5. No, Strangeland doesn't use AGS's audio engine anyway.

Thanks for the reply, after messing around with everything I find it best to run in it windowed mode at 1440P Resolution. I have a 4K monitor so it's kinda hard to find the right setting.

The thing that makes the most difference to how the game looks is the scaling method. Nearest neighbor will have large pixels with jagged edges. Linear interpolation smooths it out like what you see in the trailer.

Yeah I noticed how Linear does that but it appears to create an uncrisp or blurred image. Which i'm not a fan of. Either way I know this type of game is just going to be this way, I just wish their was a better solution.

It runs for me at 40fps. I'd love to get more as i'm so used to 144, even for moving mouse around its such a difference.

It runs for everybody at 40fps, that's an engine limitation. AGS caps at 40 fps.

I'd suggest running it windowed and making sure it fills your screen, so essentially windowed-maximized, that way you can use your windows mouse speed (which is CPU based, and that way you won't feel the lag)

I agree, I tried everything to remove the 40FPS Cap and nothing worked.
Makes sense that it's an Engine Limit.
