Is that intentional? And am I going to have to re-verify my steam files to fix the damn thing now?
It has apparently been reworked to incorporate a lot of the features that were developed after the original CMSF1 campaign - more AI groups, triggers, etc
It is normal for the Marines module to light up along with the Brit module because the campaign includes an asset that was included with both modules but isn't in the base game. However, the campaign should show with normal text and be playable. Is all the other Brit module content playable?
Not trying to be flippant, but did you buy the British Forces DLC?
Apologies if you took this the wrong way.
I've just learned over the years not to take anything for granted when it comes to troubleshooting. The first thing you ask when troubleshooting a PC problem is often, "Is it plugged in?"
As for your difficulties, many of the weird bugs on the CMSF forums elsewhere seem to be resolved with a reinstall or in this case (Steam) verify your game files.
Good luck!
Can you clarify that only the updated campaign is not playable (greyed out), but all other Brit module content is working?
