Because there's already plenty of fishing games out there.

Free to play ones: Fishing Planet, Professional Fishing, Russian Fishing 4, Atom Fishing 2, Just Fishing, Trophy Fishing 2.

There's also plenty of paid ones that cost less than half of what this does, like the "Fishing" series, Fisher Online, Ultimate Fishing Simulator, Fishing Sim World, Euro Fishing, The Fisherman, Fishing Adventure, DDI Fishing Simulator.

All of this available here on Steam. With 40€ price tag it's definitely difficult to justify buying this particular game over all the others, especially since there are some are quite decent F2P.

According to the Steam store page descriptions, this game has fewer species of fish and fewer locations than the 2 year old and $10 cheaper Fishing Sim World: Pro Tour. And it doesn't say what, if any, improvements have been made over the game in those two years, other than the obvious inclusion of the Bass Pro Shops swag.

I love fishing games/sims but there is no chance in hell of them getting a penny more out of me.

There is nothing new. Same lake. Same mechanics. Less fish. They just added an underwater camera gimmick. I am amazed how they are capable of playing costumers like that.

(CONFIRMED) It is literally Fishing Sim World: Pro Tour with underwater cam option (not forced thankfully) and Bass Pro Shops product placement / lures. It is missing some lakes such as Lake Arnold which I'm sure Dovetail will nickle-and-dime players as more paid DLC. Worst part is, the game mechanics and fish AI still need fixing. Shameful.

UPDATE: Actually this game is WORSE than FSW Pro Tour or the original FSW since this one only has bass fishing and bass lures. It's a watered down game with a Bass Pro Shops overlay.
