Exteel was a third-person shooter game published by NCSOFT, a Korean game company, and was developed by NCSOFT's E & G Studios. Players controlled giant vehicles called Mechanaughts ("mecha") and fought against the computer, or against other online players, in a variety of gameplay modes. The Mechanaughts were customizable. The game was free to download and play, but players could buy "NCcoins" with real money, through the NCcoin micropayment system. NCcoins could be used to purchase exclusive in-game weapons, skills, and parts.

Exteel was released on December 4, 2007. It was terminated on September 1, 2010, when all Exteel international servers were permanently shutdown. The Chinese version of Exteel was known as G7 online and was published by PlayNC, a branch of NCSOFT.

just so you guys know there is a exteel revive project thats playable right now though some features and maps are still missing. Its called Exteel: Project Endless Waltz

Based on the videos, looks and plays a lot like it. I'm downloading it now. It looks like Exteel, but updated.

It plays nothing like Exteel, even if some superficial similarities do exist.

It's fun for what it is, but SMC is a much slower game with more emphasis on being the first one to shoot and/or having more guns on target.

Interesting, I'm glad someone's bringing back Exteel even if NCSoft gave up on it.

NCsoft exists to publish amazing games just so they can ruin them.
