It more than doubles the above list.
That's certainly a lot of battles lol. The only thing is you cant tell how good these user made battles are unless they are recommended. I am sure the quality will vary. It's a shame there is no official rating system so you can see which are the best.
True. They are all vetted, but unfortunately we don't really have time to do much more than check that they look OK and they work before putting them up on the FTP. We do, however, help the authors to fix any issues we detect, and don't put them up until they are fixed.
I can say that we don't put up ones that we consider really unworthy, and most of the ones in that list are really good.
I don't think any of those scenarios/campaigns require you to download another mod etc. Those that mention they use TT Mod units have all the units already packaged up in the scenario download, so you don't have to do anything else.
The only exception might be Desicat's Pyrrhus campaign which is a bit unusual, I believe at one point it asks you to exit the campaign and play my Heraclea scenario.
From my scenarios, the ones I recommend most are these, they were all made to the same standard as my official scenarios:
- Battle of Panormus 251 BC (Carthaginians vs Romans)
A battle outside city walls.
- Battle of Castulo 211 BC v3 (Romans vs Carthaginians)
A very unusual battle from the 2nd Punic War, with armies appearing on the field from different directions.
- Battle of Panion 200 BC (Seleucids vs Ptolemaics)
Cataphracts and Elephants.
- Battle of Kynoskephalai 197 BC (Macedonians vs Romans)
Massive Pikes v Legions battle
