Hohe Temperatur der Gpu? / High GPU temperature?
Guten Tag,

Good day,
Does anyone else have the problem that the GPU gets extremely hot?

Got 70°C even on the lowest settings.
At higher settings, the GPU temperature is often around 90+.

My GPU is an RTX 3080.

Actually, I think I am as well. Last night when I played I did notice my PC was warmer/louder than usual. I also have an RTX 3080 too. :O

I'm on a GTX 1070 so I'm happy it's running at all, but technically still way above the minimum requirements and it's also cooking my GPU even more than Jedi Survivor did.

Operating temp for the 3080 is around 88C. I'm guessing you're running it in DX12 mode? For reasons best known to Microsoft DX12 tells the card to throttle up to max even if it's just rendering a static menu. Switching to DX11 should stop it - albeit DX11 is a bit flabbier in terms of resource utilisation so it might still end up pushing the system. Although at least then it's legitimate workload based rather than lazy Microsoft coding...

That said you shouldn't be hitting much over 90 on the card even under maximum load - if you are you've probably got a cooling problem somewhere.

Yep. The game heats like a champ - Unreal Engine 4 without brakes. No need to worry, that's a good sign, the GPU is being utilized. :)

Best regards,
Raff

Do you know the safe temperature for my older GTX 1070?
Badgerus 16 JUN 2023 a las 16:29
Yes running very hot for me, also the CPU too. Not unsafe temps but almost touching it

https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/geforce/graphics-cards/geforce-gtx-1070/specifications/ Nvidia says it'll start throttling performance at 94 Celsius

https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2752/~/nvidia-gpu-maximum-operating-temperature-and-overheating

https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/geforce/graphics-cards/30-series/rtx-3080-3080ti/

The 3080 is listed as a max of 93 Celsius.

I'd just go into the control panel or the graphics options and cap this game's FPS at 60, since it's not a shooter game you don't need more. But that's just me.

Capping FPS can give the GPU overhead to be cool enough that it can actually use the maximum Boost Clock in addition to the base clock. So it'll run faster and might stutter less
Looks like I'm still safe then, my 1070 stays between 75-83 in this game.

It means its using your hardware—not a bad thing. Cap your FPS if you want to utilize your hardware less and thus keep temps down

Hey! I've been waiting on reviews of the final product to purchase, but in the beta I noticed this too. Turned off global illumination and capped the FPS for it. Should I go ahead and buy it?
Disabling GI and keeping everything else on maximum reduced my average temperature from 75-83 down to 60-65.

Thank you for the answers.

Unfortunately, I have already set all options to low. The game runs with DX11 and GI was also disabled. :(
FPS are also capped at 60.

I only have the problem in Park Beyond, even current releases are far cooler with higher settings.
