Combat Suit Defaulting Problem
I have the dlc wich adds the old era combat suit however i prefer the OG combat suit that ann wears and also the new outfits added in the dlc, problem is that unless i equip the OG combat suit ann will always default to using the old era combat suit in combat with every other outfit choice (wich wouldnt be a problem if switching outfits could be done on the fly) is there a way to specify what combat suit is the default one, or should i just take the L and uninstall the dlc?

hi all, the outfit stuff is not super optimized because...we didn't plan too well ahead on that part, and because of the flow of the game is connected to the switching of items, changing this now might cause a bunch of problems, so unfortunately you might have to go back and change manually if you do not have your prefer clothes. we bow our heads in minor shame and promise to def. get this set up better in upcoming projects!

If I understand the post correctly it will not be fixed. its out of the Bugs/General Feedbacks Discussion

hi it should change when you change the combat suit at one of the places where you can do so (ann's apartment, margaritia, noctis street store) could you try a few of those to see if it works for you?

even when i equip the OG combat suit first and then switch to another casual outfit afterwards (such as the jogging outfit, or the school uniform for example), it still defaults to the dlc combat suit, i can see that from the equpment menu. the only time the equipment menu reflects my preffered choice is when i wear the OG combat suit itself (wich makes me miss out on seeing ann in more fitting clothing out of combat)

Hello, I’m only on the beginning of the game but to help diagnose this issue as I have it as well and prefer the default black battle suit I’ve done this:

- gone to Ann’s appartment
- changed outfit to sportswear. Battle suit is the new blue old era suit in menu and combat
- changed outfit to emerald. Still blue suit in both
- changed to cinnabar. Still blue in menu and combat
- changed to office lady. Still blue in menu and combat
- changed to graffiti. Still blue in menu and combat
- changed to alien ware. Still blue in menu and combat
- changed to memories of Dawn. Still blue
in menu and combat
- changed to combat suit. Menu is now black suit. Combat also uses black suit.
- changed to old era. Back to blue in both places.

Seems the black suit is only used when you choose it from the closets. Is there a way for you to separate the exploration skins from the menu/combat skins? I wanna use Ann’s normal streetwear outfits when running around but her black suit in combat.

I have this issue aswell and I also at the beginning of the game, just 1hr into the game. Is there any kind of solution?

as far as it looks the system for selecting combat suits and casual outfits Independently is either bugged/doesnt exist, if you want the normal combat suit you're gonna have to uninstall the dlc and start a new save file until such a system is implemented (sadly im gonna have to put my playthrough on hold for this)

Hi all, we tried to make it so that you can always switch to any suit, including the combat suits. We'll look into this after we're back from holiday, however could you try the following:

i.e. you're in the city and game uses New Battle Suit > Go change to old battle suit and *do not* change to any other suit, meaning you're walking around in Old Battle > go and have a fight somewhere > go back to a place to change a explore suit, i.e. the alienware one > go do another battle

in this case the game should have default you as the old combat suit no matter what you wear. If not we'll check this out after the holidays.

An update on the situation would be nice, I don't even own the dlc and yet I also have the glitch and the battle suit. For some reason whenever I start the game from the beginning I obtain a second old era combat suit. So there's just two old era suits sitting in my inventory.
Detective Costeau Jul 30, 2023 @ 2:45pm
Can confirm this is still happening to me as well-the game is still defaulting to the 'old era' combat suit if you have any outfit other than the default combat suit equipped, and there doesn't seem to be any way to disable it. There's also 2 copies of the old era suit in my inventory, no idea if that's related but it doesn't seem like it should happen.

Still happening 6 months later.
I'm guessing they never checked it out.

think it's less about them not cheking it out but rather them not caring enough... if you're gonna half ass a customization feature just dont bother making one tbh... i'm a sucker anyway at this point... liked the premise and bought the deluxe version of this game and now i have to deactivate the dlc and replay from the start if i dont want to look like a space princess everytime i'm in combat... not their problem right? :aunope:

Yeah I figured because you know, it's been a few months.
I did notice entering the area with the second teleporter activated the normal combat suit no matter what outfit I used, but the menu's still showed the old suit. I'm guessing it's just treated differently and combat in the city areas will still use the old suit if I use other outfits.
What's this about uninstalling dlc fixing it though? I don't have deluxe dlc and have the issue, and I can't uninstall the update that added the old suit.

Have the same problem

That's a pretty long vacation. I have the issue too. And I don't have a DLC?

is there a solution for this being worked on? you should make it so whenever you get out of combat ann goes back to whatever clothing you chose for exploration
