Cheat Guide: Modifying a Save File
Love this game but what does irritate me is the lack of available materials for crafting until late game. Since this is a Unity game, I needlessly spent a night digging into the save files to determine how to adjust said counts for materials.

First and foremost, always back up your data.

The game appears to use a fairly standard Sqlite3 database structure.

Go to C:\Users\[Username]\LocalLow\ThinkingStars\Anno\SavesDir\ and pick the save file you want to edit. I suggest using 'DB Browser for Sqlite 3.2.12' from sqlitebrowser.org

In the 'PlayerBag' table you'll find a JSON entry which when expanded you'll see some fairly rudimentary itemIDs and values. I've come up with the following table for said IDs:

I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND not touching values for Quest Items as that may ruin your save.

incredible! but how do you use codes? I mean, for example for the Graffiti outfit, how do you activate it?

For clothing, just change the value of that item from 0 to 1. You wouldn't need multiples of the same outfit. For everything else give yourself the desired number of the 'thing'

In my playerBag table, it shows playerId and json, but opening these doesn't really show anything... clicking the json does nothing and context menu options only open the key, not the data.. I see the sql statement to create the table, and json/playerId as varchar but there isn't anything else in there. How do I access the json data? I've opened all my saves to check, it's all the same. Am I missing something?

It's in the next tab above, the first one will only show you the skeleton of the file.

Yes, I already did, thanks XD but for some reason it doesn't appear in the clothes closet, the other cheats do work, but the one with the clothes I don't know how to make it work F

Hello! So I think I'm having the same problem as Crimson. I tried to add the Graffiti outfit to my inventory for my New Game + save, and after I got access to the GROM system, it's showing up in my important items area with the rest of the outfits, but it *isn't* showing up in the closet. There's nothing in the outfit's data that seems to reference being in the closet, and I couldn't find any kind of wardrobe inventory file. Do you have a solution for that?

Not particularly no sorry, on my playthrough I just gave my self the necessary credits then bought the outfits I wanted. Although.. if you look through PlayerCharacter at the 'json' column, you'll see some references to more clothing with 'unlock':false or true so it may be you need to go in there and enable the flag. I've since uninstalled the game because I felt the ending sucked so I can't test it for you but.. I'd keep poking around in there, you're bound to hit on it.

When you change the values, the clothes only appears in the backpack, it doesn't appear in the wardrobe.

i tested and it works! the PlayerCharacter json has the same clothing IDs as PlayerBag in it, setting "unlock" to true on them will put them in your wardrobe if they're enabled in your bag.
