The costs associated with maintaining and improving the game, such as developing new stages, introducing heroes, and enhancing overall gameplay, are supported by the payment.
This allows us to provide a better and more engaging experience.
We appreciate your understanding.
If it was a seasonal package and included everything added up to now from the beginning, I understand.
But for that money, I'd rather buy a whole game than a sixth of a game.
The other thing is that this is not the best or the worst of the series.
Before your last game, it was pretty bad, and the last of the demos, which was buggy, looked like it wasn't better.
You no longer inspire me to immediately buy your games like before.
Given how much individual heroes and towers cost on mobile, $8 for a new hero AND a new tower AND 5 new campaign maps is a bargain.
And even then. you gotta consider how many hours of play you'll get out of the new campaign. Doing each map at least 3 times to fully complete them, I think you can get at least 3 hours out of the game. $8 for 3 hours aint bad. And thats assuming you don't replay them additional times just for the fun of it, like I do.
Honestly, if they charged $1 for each new level, hero, or tower they added and just kept adding more over time, i'd be happy to pay it because it is worth the money.
All the people acting like $8 for a 5 stage campaign with new hero and tower is like robbery or greed or something are utterly ridiculous.
You can't even buy a single decent meal for one person that isn't full of over processed fast food garbage for less than $8, but yall act like like its a lot of money and isn't worth it. Yeesh. Get JOBS kids, then you can afford things that cost less than $10.
You don't need most heroes and towers.
For these 8 euros, you can buy a whole game, not a piece, and you have ten times more time to play than some 3 hours, and the only thing is that the game is slow, not long.
The game is 16 and this is 8 and it is barely one sixth.
And even the game is not one of their best.
If it doesn't come on stream, then via the Internet, and if it doesn't come, I don't care.
If they wanted more money they would have made the game more expensive at the beginning or a season pack. And not for nothing 8 euros.
Was really looking forward to this. And i have basically every kingdom rush game that has been released on steam, but that price is just.... yeah... instant skip for now. Not even a matter of being, or not being, able to afford the price to begin with. Rather a matter of principle and the company seemingly overcharging loyal customers.
Since the company intends to defend such blatant price gouging with...
"The costs associated with maintaining and improving the game, such as developing new stages, introducing heroes, and enhancing overall gameplay, are supported by the payment."
Then it would only be proper towards their customers, for the company to release full detailed breakdown of planned "improvements to the game", "new stages", "new hero introductions and "overall gameplay enhancements". That will be funded by our potential investment into this product.
The devs say they can't afford to do free content anymore. That's understandable, I know in the new world of higher interest rates a lot of companies are feeling the squeeze. So I guess the question then becomes, if it's the case that Ironhide can only afford to make this type of new content if they set this level of pricing, would I prefer they just didn't make DLC at all and moved on to the next game? ... Honestly, yes.
I'm sure plenty of people will disagree with that. Part of the reason I buy on Steam instead of mobile is because I'm happier to pay a bit higher price and not have to worry about microtransactions or paying extra for new content later. Sort of like a season pass. And not everyone feels the same way, so maybe this strategy will work out just fine.
I've bought every Ironhide game and don't really want to stomp off in a huff, but I also don't want to end up missing out on content (and losing my 100% achievements, let's be honest here :P) because of pricing that doesn't feel worth it, so I guess we'll see.
Only 5 levels + 1 tower + 1 hero = and the cost is similar to the price of a full base game. This dlc is not even 1\5 of the game with the addition of new content. It's more like 1\10 of the base game only.
New DLC must be paid for sure of course but with MORE new content. Selling 10 levels + 2 (or 3) towers + 2 (or 3) heroes = will be more fair for this price. But definitely not like now.
Developers need money too.
But I don't think it's right that the price of one small tasty candy (this dlc) should be almost the same as an entire box of sweets (base game).
If they want more money, they should have done it at the beginning, not at the end.
This one is old and not as good as its predecessors, but also more expensive.
Make a new game and raise the price. Not that the quality will be better.
According to this logic, they can release it for 100 euros, otherwise it would be worth 10, as most manufacturers are doing now. But as long as we are fans of something, the price doesn't matter.
