68 hours, and done.
after 68 hours of playing i have beaten all levels, be it campaign, heroic or iron, on impossible difficulty. I did "cheat" a couple of times by using eiskalt on some of the post campaign one's but for the regular campaign i used more balanced heroes.

To be honest, i like this installment over the others. But having said that, if we're just looking at game balance and tower balance, it's definetly worse then the other installments. My personal feelings about the game, and which installments i think is designed the best, are not the same.

My biggest problem with KR games tend to be the limited amount of content. now before people start raging, let me explain. In the first three KR games you gradually unlock the fourth tier upgrades of the different towers over the campaign. Now this in and of itself is not a problem at all. What is a problem is the fact that the levels where you don't have all these towers unlocked encompasses most of the main campaigns levels. Most often there are but a few levels before the Big Boss of the main campaign is confronted, where the player has al the different fourt tiers unlocked. And well then you get to the post campaign, with levels that are significantly more difficult.
I absolutely hate this, I despise this system.
I want to be able to use the full versatility of the given towers on most of the levels provided to us. Kingdom rush vengeance doesn't have this problem because it has a different tower system. I still find it annoying that some heroes and towers are only unlocked after completing some of the post campaigns. but atleast after unlocking said towers, you can just use them wherever you want.

And thus vengeance became my favorite.

but let's be real. it's not very well balanced. Eiskalt is super OP. Beresad's abilities are weak, with exception to his special, Murglin is probably the only flying hero is the game that i would consider fine. Veruk is basicly garbage. The rest are pretty decently balanced though.

as for towers. Shadow archers aren't bad, but there special abilities are very weak. Wicked sisters abilities are weak, i'm not gonna tab those frogs, just let the frog dissapear after a bit making the ability an instakill. GIVE THE CORRUPTED FOREST MORE RANGE PLEASE, seriously sometimes the road is wider then it's radius, COME ON NOW. Dark knights abilities aren't that great but there best used at lower tier so meh, maybe give them an ability that grants them a ranged magic attack or some magical defense? I'm honestly fine with al the other towers, rocket riders are honeslty underrated, they can hit flying units unlike the furnace and it has better abilities then the zeppeling imo.

And lastly, Farm arrays is the easiest flipping ♥♥♥♥ to be in this game.

(the silveroak forest campaign level is probably my favorite)
