The best Close Combat?
Hi, been eyeing this game for some time now, but there's so much Close Combats that I'm not sure which one to pick. Last time I played one of these was like ~20 years, those were like the very first and second one in the series.

Which one is the best to pick up today?

Close Combat Russian front or "cross of Iron" as it is called now is my favourite.

Close Combat The Longest Day has the most mods of the later releases by Matrix Games
Close Combat Last Stand Arnhem has the most features.

obviously the third iteration of it. I mean... obviously. too bad they only did things the way they did it in this game... only in this game alone.

Close Combat Gateway to Caen is my favourite. Outstanding tactical map and strategic map interaction. Your decisions mean something.
