The design of it feels so tiny and uninspired to me. The only cool part is the fact that you can destroy the reactor in the middle for like, coolness.
Way too small for 5v5 and 6v6.
Impact Site isn't amazing, but I'll take that over the insipid merry-go-round meta of Arctic Base.
Honestly the only problem is at the start when your team starts to go around while you're in something slow or go around. Or just the infinite range snipers camping way back of the map. Other than those two I think the map is pretty good
god i hate what arctic circle has done to the meta.
Circle cause of the stupid nascar meta
Jungle cause of dumb shot windows
Military port cause (probably not the case but) It replaced regular port (my fav map) so i loathe it for this. (Didnt really replace it. it's still in the game but i miss seeing port, port sunset, and port flood. aka swimming pool.)
A very close second is Space Fortress Interior. The poster boy of rush strat to win. Since there's only a narrow corridor out of base, with no cover around, well, you can probably guess what happens if the other team capped all the control points. Derelict Colony is a much better version of that kind of map.
Ironically Military Port is my fav map, I wish there were more water maps on rotation.
Like the design feels like something out of like, Halo or something.
Base A and Beacon A are equidistant to possible enemy ingress, so uncoordinated teammates pick either one when spawning in, and end up either fighting hill or fighting the main exit, while Base B only leads to Beacon B, meaning no matter what you pick you'll eventually be in a death ball and can push out. You also can't crossfire between Base A and Beacon A while Base B gets a hill you can just walk over and start blasting enemies from cover. Oh, and the fight toward Base A is also downhill, just another disadvantage to the defenders.
It's awful.
