What is the point of rating?

Almost every (from D all the way to B so far) rated game I play I end up 1st (with a C tier ms, looks > some lame ass tier list) sometimes rarely 2nd or 3rd but winning and losing is still a 50/50 tossup . Why are the teams so inconsistent? They can be good in one game and then straight garbage in the next despite being in the "same rating".
There's been too many times where I'm winning a 1v2 or holding a 1v3 yet my team will still somehow lose a 4v2 or 3v2 and then I lose the 5v1, this sometimes happens at the start of a match so it's not like one side has lower hp.
Even worse is that there have been times I leave someone knocked down on <1000 hp (quite literally one-shot, a sliver of health) for my half or full hp teammate to finish so I can go help another, yet as I'm helping in another fight that I see that my teammate lost without doing any damage. HOW? and why does this happen so often?

becuz it wasn't designed to be a serious competitive rating or failed to be

case in point everytime i do unrank, the amount of times i had to try hard was much higher than i were to do ranked

It's really meant to show how patient you are and how you keep trying even when people start to resemble headless chickens.

Rating until A- doesn't even require a 50% win rate to achieve. A- is also the soft cap for gains, since you don't get any additional benefits until the S-, which is significantly harder to maintain.

You shouldn't expect too much of it.

in theory, rating is there to make you play with people around your skill level. In practice, it's still too easy for noobs to get carried to B especially if luck is on their side and they get paired with god gamers on the way up. So some days you get a team full of cracked A and S rank players hardstuck B/C/D trying to climb and steamroll. Other days you get stuck with D- players who got lucky earlier and go down in flames with a 10k point diff. And better farm all the DP and XP you can fast, once start period bonus is over, oh boy.

There literally is none.

It's not based on how well you did in the match besides the +1 or +0 from defeating or not defeating your rival. If you're getting lucky with queues and people not being retarded on your team, regardless of whether you sat there on your phone keeping yourself from getting kicked AFK the entire 8 minutes, or you were the absolute Ace across all categories on both teams, doesn't matter.

Their 'rating' system is a complete joke. It equates a C with a D+ in some games, C+ C+ with a C- and a D+, it's hilarious. If your actual performance in each match had any bearing on the rating, that'd be nice, but it doesn't. Anyone who says otherwise is handicapped mentally.

Being able to collect all crates in under an hour is a blessing and a lot more people are going to shake loose once we hit the mostly A-B room meta because people just want their crates/dailies and to get on with their day.

u get 50 more exp for every rating but it capped at 700 including bonus
i still dont met the cap for DP

win lose doesn't affect box rate, that said, if teammate encourage, you only get the bonus drop rate if you win. trying to get all 6 boxes at plat without AB rooms once the bonus is gone is going to be painful

Just play the game and have fun, rated mode is just there for when you don't wanna play certain modes/cost restrictions that quickplay has.

Oh yeah I love not actually playing and sitting in A-B rooms for an unreasonable, yet somehow most optimal, amount of time. Sure, it's not that bad early on, but even with the platinum bonus you still have to hit 18% + variable encourage amount with no pity 6 times.
