You might have to adjust the graphics settings as gbo2 likes to target the cpu rather then the gpu
If you remember how gbo2 ran in 2018-2020 that's kinda were the server is at
Were not crashing everyday like it did around oct/dec of 2019
Try not to use wifi on its own try use a ethernet or USB c to supply internet
Western hours are pretty much destroyed due to them not reducing the penaltys for new audience
Use this
https://steamdb.info/app/1367080/charts/
While cheating is present it's mostly in A matches and clan matches right now
There's not a whole alot difference
Your still going to get penalized, use a controler
you have to accept were 2 months behide and the current dev team running it doesn't have free will to add things with out console giveing the ok on if
More then half thoese reviews are people that never played gbo2 at all
raid is hard to survive in pc since it easier to aim with mouse
If your worried about not getting AUs on console
I think there going to try to push for releasing them on console
This is like the 3rd time they asked in survey and once we get god gundam they will ask psn again
The population isn't going to recover
Unless they Dail down the penalty system and maybe seperate penaltys based on rated, quick match, custom
The controls were awful, horrendus.
On PC, it's actually playable without needing to practice an ungodly amount of hours.
But this game will do it's damndest to not let you play it. That's the biggest negative. The damn match making system can go die in a fire. I've never played a game with a worst match making system ever. If it can't find anyone around your rank, it won't let you play period. You'll be staring at the stupid Failed Matchmaking message more than anything.
And when you do get a game, you better pray that you won't end up in a match with some sweatlord tryhard who equate a fun time to keeping you chain-staggered the entire round out.
There's a reason I've become good at Ejecting from my MS and running away to cause havoc on foot. Hell I even killed an Acguy with a stray Bazooka shot earlier today just as the round ended. I didn't even know he was there! I just fired it off in anger towards their Medea as he jumped out of the water and took it to the head
tl;dr:
Yes it's good. It's a good port.
But you can't fix what's already broken.
PS. Unforgivable, there is currently no Code Fairy storyline for PC users. As much as I loathe Zeon, I want to play that storyline.
No QOL update for PC like a dedicated server, no proper Clan rewards in excuse of hacks, no synced update for Unit Adjustment, more laggy and buggy gameplay, worse cheating situation
Console doesn't have a dedicated server either, why on earth would PC get one?
There are like half a dozen incredibly compelling reasons why neither version will ever get it, but I just want to focus on how ridiculous this is for now.
Anyway, titansp summed it up pretty well. The PC port is jank as hell, but it's playable, and it's functionally not any different once you actually get into a match. If you really want to play the game, you'll be just fine. You can muscle past the performance issues in menus and the camp area (which are annoying, but not debilitating).
