At the very least if you have a slow moving MS (regardless of its typing). you should allow it to get into position where it can be effective and stay within it's line of sight. if the battle lines move, the support should be moving up JUST BARELY enough to stay at the edge of the new line (as a counter measure to possible flanks). That being said, playing aggressive is also an option. Some people can't seem to comprehend an aggressive support like a Zaku cannon, Zaku II Heavy equipment type (with MMP80) or an aggressive Xamel. though the support should probably understand their shortcomings (speed, ability to stop after an HSM, etc) and work appropriately.
Going prone is another thing I dont see people use more. like that new-ish Canyon map. you cna catch flanking raids so easily by going prone in the water. if the suit is small enough you cna hide underwater. The enemy usually passes by you and at that point if you've still got an angle you can hit him from behind, causing a panic as you stand up. They'll likely blow their evasion at that point too, meaning little to no worry about being countered if you're trying a melee swing.
Oh, I know that feeling.
Especially when I find a fellow Guntank main and you stun lock/shatter enemy suit legs in seconds.
Pretty much nothing u can do cuz it only be disadvantage with unable to shield and getting stun before u stun them if u moved to the Left side.
I personally love to break that little rules by using Gustav Karl move the left and tank it cause panic specially on the artic base hehe.
