Yeah, pretty much this.
I think it's definitely worth noting that even if your rig isn't particularly robust, PSP and Gamecube emulation are so accessible at this point that a toaster could do it seamlessly. You may or may not be able to handle something like PS2 or PS3 emulation depending on your hardware, but I've seen some seriously stone age builds run PSP or GC emulators without a hitch. Do some Battle Universe or Assault Survive or whatever.
What rank are you, D4C
If you like tactics games, the Super Robot Wars games usually have Gundam suits as part of the roster, though Gundam isn't usually the sole focus.
If I wanted a more fun Gundam game, it would have to play something similar to Titanfall or maybe an entirely different genre besides a shooter.
GBO2 isn't something you rush or climb the rateing ladder to fast
I hope your still somewhere as a D or a + still learning the game not getting penaltys along with flooded with alts
and didn't promote up to fast not somewhere in C+ and B
If your not Useing a controler switch as it will improve how you play the game, this game wasn't ment to be played with a keyboard
Get your hands on a DS4 controler if you can
Otherwise you'll need to get a DS5 when they stop stocking them on shelfs
can't give a good definition of fun
as fun varys from person to person
But when you can start to get away with things
And how you can get into people's heads sometimes
Is when the game became fun for me
Fun gundam games on pc there's not that many
While I'll say UCGO
It needs alot of work
As for this game, I already have experience from GBO1 so I'm not really struggling to play the game but it can be difficult to have fun at times when the matchmaker is putting you with people who just fly off in random directions. If you have the stomach for it, just keep playing and you'll eventually have a good match as long as you keep trying.
I am anxiously awaking august for breaker 4, my boyfriend imported breaker 3 for his playstation. that is a very fun game.
how did you get to play gbo1? i think that was the game i got a 360 for but i thought it never made it stateside anyway.
I have managed to make friends in this game, i normally don't usually play any pvp games (cause i never have fun with them) but i love gundam and the clunky controls give me a nostalgic feeling. I wish code fairy got ported...
The Xbox 360 was operation troy
That aside,

well either way i was never able to play any of them. i was really hoping for gundam UC Climax but that never made it stateside
PS3 online was free (no PS plus was needed at the time) and had no region lock. Just had to make a japanese PSN account (just set region to japan lol) and you could play GBO1. It was P2W to the extreme (unit lvls made a huge difference and high lvl suits were OP to point that snipers could pretty one-hit kill people at high lvls) and you could not earn anything outside of the gacha that ran at the end of a match. It was still fun considering there wasn't much else gundam at the time and of course there's that period of time where no one is running nonsense game breaking suits.
If it helps almost every interview about GB4 has included the devs apologizing over how bad New was.
