Proton support, please!
This games lack of proton support is a real shame, From my understanding It's an issue with EAC that there is a fix for, Bamco just has to use it. It seems it could be easily solved if they so wish and would not only make the game Steamdeck compatible, but also allow the game to run on Linux in general.

I know it is highly unlikely anyone with the power to make this happen will read this post, but it is my hope that the community can start making enough noise about this to get someone to listen. This game needs all the players it can get, and this seems like a pretty easy way to cast a wider net as it were.

If Gbo2 was made actually made by Bandai and not it's sister studio you might have a chance of getting steam deck support

Which is what I think OP wants or he's on linux

If you want proton or linux support maybe beg for it by sending a support ticket
Devs do not read the forums or care

B. B studio doesn't have the rescources or expertise to really undertake this task

That's the fun part! They don't need the expertise to do it.

All that's required is to send an email to the anti-cheat company asking for them to toggle a switch that allows those playing through proton/steamdeck to have access. That's what gets me about this not being enabled. It's quite literally that easy. I've seen the process gone through dozens of times for this point for games where the devs had absolutely no linux support or experience. As soon as permission is enabled by the anti-cheat, the game just works out of the box.

Anti-cheat is consistently the only thing blocking linux players from having access to probably 90% of modern games. They're few and far between, but sadly a lot are things like this that would just be nice to play.

Only saw one video of Gbo2 running on a steam deck and that was a Chinese video link

this should be anti linux than anti cheat, since there still cheaters in the game but no linux user.
