Wanna talk about how a 300~400 mobile suit gets access to a ridiculous gun you can buy in the dp shop for a few k that deals more damage than any other weapon in the shop?

The Prototype Beam Rifle has no uptime, takes years to charge, needs to land its single shot, and has nothing backing it up. It'll scare the ♥♥♥♥ out of anyone who picks a fight, and you can usually leg someone and plink with vulcans enough that they'll start tripping, but it needs someone who can actually exploit that opening.

I love my Dingo Sniper.

yeah its pretty crazy when you hit, but its backup is just vulcans and grenades and a standard beam blade I suppose- but I hit a fully charged hit on someone with the 400 power lv 3 gun and it dealt 9000~ damage, basically killed the enemy outright, just a few vulcans and they were dead- I'm not sure theres anything else I've seen capable of doing that outside of full 3 hit combos on a roided out melee raid ms.

With Emergency Evasion, you can charge the proto beam rifle, fire, dodge at the enemy, and finish the now-damaged unit off with a beam saber hit or two, assuming it survived the shot. Risky, but effective.

Burning out your thrusters for one kill isn't worth it most of the time, and it won't go any further than just boosting will for half the thruster cost. Relying on a team mate for followups and forcing the other team to respect your pressure is more reliable.

Definitely, but sometimes you catch someone out of position, and it just works like a dream then. Personally though, I prefer finishing off with grenades+vulcans on it. Though usually I actually run the RX-79[G] rifle, way less damage than the proto rifle, but much more sustain potential.

i think the rifle needs a buff, maybe a 30 sec overheat instead. stun & melee combo is going to do comparable damage with a much higher uptime and compared to standard beam rifles the prototype is going to do less damage over time. funny rifle, might be the best at stealing kills in brawl.

nah, the rifle is fine. there's other beam rifles that do less damage and shoot more readily if youre looking for something more accessible. try the Ez08 general unit! stun with a charged shot and follow up with a back melee(it boost forward with a poke)

You have no idea what you talking about..

LV3 is a 500 cost unit and there is no way a 400 cost unit can use a LV3 weapons.. Even as LV1, the dmg is only 2720dps (focus charged).. but if you add the mods, it can go higher

You are completely incorrect, check the game for yourself.

Lv 3 is 400 cost, and carries a lv 3 gun that deals 6800 dmg, with the +7% dmg mod, thats a bonus +27% ranged damage, against a raid (+30% dmg buff due to countering as a general) thats +57% damage on the 6800 which = 10,676 dmg, if you hit them in the back it'd deal even more damage.

Yeah but then you have no stun options for a good 40 seconds on a suit that has bad slots for taking auxiliary generators, bad mobility, bad melee damage, bad vulcans ad just ok grenades. It seems ridiculous but honestly speaking, GM White Dingo can be considered the worst LV1 300 cost general unless I am forgetting something.
