Overly aggressive word/name filter??

I was watching my friend play.. and the name filter is super aggressive? He tried to name himself "Ghost" but it was inappropriate. Then tried to do "Shinigami", but that was also inappropriate. He suspects Ghost was no good because "ho" in ghost. And shinigami was "niga" lol.

Don't be surprised. Happens the same with Evolution and basically any Asian F2P with online interactions, like Genshin.

Word filters are always awful. Normal people are just going to be annoyed by them, and people who want to say (insert banned word here) are going to get around the filters anyway.

You can't use a name that happens to have the letters av, in that order, in it. That speaks volumes about how bizarre it is for an English speaking audience.

The filter is easaly circumvented by adding _ between letters anyways... so it does little against people wanting to insult each other

Most funny censor though is that you cant spell J_a_p aparantly.. you know.. as in JAPanese?

tor is also verboten.... for some reason... this wordfilter is so primitive it only looks for certain letter combinations no matter if they are part of an entire different word.

This game has such an aggressive censor that it's almost impossible to have a conversation. You can barely say HELLO because the game censors H-E-L-L.

Anything with AV will be censored. Why? Because AV = Adult Video in Japan and so, words like wAVe, and hAVe, and sAVe, and AVoid, etc etc.
