Pretty sure people who like Gundam are still going to want to play a Gundam game, and if the like Armored Core, they'll play that, too.
I'm sure people will love AC6, but there isn't a Chobham Alex in it, or a ReZEL, or a Nu, or an Atlas, or a Gouf. There is a reason people like these things, and I doubt AC6 will be able to imitate half of the mobile suits from the various shows and stories.
Gundam fans are a minority and that's a fact. So you ride the tide and bring people before it comes or risk being drown by it right after and get overshadowed by a game of the same genre
It's marketing. You release early or wait till people have time and want more mecha after playing AC6. It doesnt even matter how the game plays, what matters and folks see is the genre and what the game is about aka Mechas. That's it.
I don't see what marketing has to do for a product people keep losing their minds about on this board because they can't get it already. Marketing is to bring hype, but if you'd read the crazy-ass posts some people put on here, after... What, a year? It's clear people still want it.
What I mean is. GBO2 cant survive on steam with only the fans since mechas on the west are NICHE, and most fans are likely already invested on playstation and the casuals after the AC6 announcement right now might be looking to get into mechas so they need something to get their hands on.
Also, this place is not a representation of anything.
Also Steam version will be behind in content according to devs. So not like crossplay would be doable
Unless they decide for whatever reason they'll bring MSGO back up again. Then this game can burn for all I care
No, it won't be behind. Where did they ever say otherwise?
I also thought that from software stated the focus would be singleplayer.... So why does it matter if GBO2 comes out close or on the same date? People can play more then one game you know.
For instance I will play AC6 when I feel like it and then will swap to other multiplayer games when I wanna play games with friends. I already know someone who likes GBO2 so Its not a problem to me.
