I gotta agree here, just kinda feels like a troll post? Like I'm sorry OP went through such an abusive relationship with that game but I don't see why anybody needed to know about how much more ♥♥♥♥ the series used to be (not to say this game is entire ♥♥♥♥ but the launch definitely is). I would have just chalked that game as a loss and moved on to play something else. Only grind I hate in this game is the fact that I can't because of penalties literally allowing no progress to grind so I guess I'll try my luck in this then,
"Oh YOU thought the the GBO1 grind was BAD? Getting to play 3 games every 6 hours to GRIND out for suits? Try only being able to be able to play ONCE every 5 DAYS for a chance to play 20 games to MAYBE earn the CHANCE to earn currency again to GRIND for suits. have the bad luck to DISCONNECT once in those 20 GAMES, well see you again in 5 DAYS to try AGAIN"
Once again I just don't get it, no hate to the poster, I just don't see how this is relevant but hey, that game ain't my trauma.
Anyways, I found a gundam that I absolutely love playing. The GP04 MLRS. I actually do pretty decent with it, only downside is that the barrage missiles have zero splash damage for whatever reason. I'm not Bandai so I don't even begin to fathom what goes on in their brains.
Its not that I'm THAT bad at the game, sure I'm still a noob, sure I still can't wrap my brain around the perma stun lock mechanics and how absolutely awkward the MS are to control, but after having a week long ban because I DARED to stop playing a match for 10 seconds because we were getting seal clubbed and I wanted to get a drink, having to play like....... uhhhh 25 or so rated matches to get back down to Caution status, and then finally getting the Lieutenant promotion mission just to get constantly railed by team mates that don't even press W and just sit right outside of spawn, and people who I swear to christ are borderline cheating.
I just can't.... I can't get rival wins when I'm constantly picked off and perma-stun locked by the entire team because my team just refuses to stay near me and runs away from me. Me being a support MS, I can't catch up to them that easily or run away myself. The teams and the balance as a whole is pretty much why I can never get this done. I've played the game with a friend during that 6 hour period and even with the friend, we still got clubbed. I have War Thunder railing me every day I play it, I don't have room for another game to do the same....
I can hit with the GM Sniper II's ballistic rifle just fine, but charged or uncharged I always wind up having issues with beam versions for some reason.
i mean wartinder is the same thing, although it is much easier to carry a game in it than this. this game just relies alot more on game knowledge like what type of suits are they? i.e. raid/support/general and what sort of weapon cycles/combo can you pull off etc
i guess the difference here is that in wartinder, you can memorise the weak spots of a tank and strengths of your ammo, but it all comes down to landing the shot. whereas in this game, getting the hit is easy but landing the crucial hit is the key.
foot note: please use paragraphs instead of this giant wall of text, it's freaken hard to read. i just threw it into chatgpt to summarise for me lel
Amazing. Yeah sorry about that, I'm gonna go back and edit all my text after I write this.
I basically have a phobia of melee combat in video games and this game is an exaggeration of it. Kind of a reason why I prefer the long range support MS. Every time I've tried it my MS lunges like 0.1 feet while enemy MS no matter what class they are can lunge 20. Sometimes I'll land a hit but game says "lol nope". Then there will be times where the game wants to be funny and be like: "oh you stunned an enemy and closed the gap while taking out your melee? lets have him instantly get back up and melee stun you to death before you can even take out your melee weapon".
My aim would be a lot more consistent and I'd be landing more critical hits if the game actually ran well. It barely uses 50% of my CPU/GPU/RAM and I can at MOST get 42FPS ingame and in the lobby. menus are the same. I've seen you in the performance thread and IIRC you replied to one of my posts regarding my Medieval era PC but either way, should not be getting performance this bad when the game barely uses my computer's resources.
Yes they did!
Indeed it's a cool idea... they even had "situation" battles where you get to recreate certain events during the One Year War. People where like queuing up in these situation battles that they'd hope to be the ace suit but many are placed in grunt suits
