Newbie question: should I repair my suit?
I've tried it few times by retreating to the base and repairing it by pilot, but it takes ages and feels like not worth it, better just to respawn and start all over, instead of leaving your teammates ountumbered. Is this right?

Should I just ignore it?

When the fight's done and your legs are completely broken, get one bar of leg on and you can dash without tripping, as long as you don't do a second. Anything more, only if you wiped their team and they're waiting for a full drop.

remember you can hang out near your base and itll auto-repair you so long as you remain stationary, you can rotate if needed, idk if attacking disables this, you can double down by also repairing yourself when this is happening

If you use a high cost unit yes repair it as much as possible if you about to die don let enemy kill you let say you using 500+ cost suit if you die enemy get ton of point and give them a win it best you retreat and repair it ok to back away sometime know your limit you are not a main character in this game nobody are. go to base for auto repair get out and repair to make it faster and then join your comrade once again in the battlefield once you are fully or 80% repaired.

I find that at as a support or a glassy raid that backing off at 1/2-1/4 hp left for at least a bar worth of repair gun is worthwhile. Two if my team is dominating or wipes the enemy. In almost all cases, your repair is better than feeding the points, even if your team is technically at a disadvantage with you backing off.

If you're not getting completely destroyed, you should have a full minute round trip to base and back, plus the time it takes to repair. If you are getting completely destroyed, then you can't spare the time it would take to run back to base and repair, even if it's right around the corner from the frontline.
Die and come back. Eat a zook, tackle someone going for your support, bait a meme beam, and that'll be on cooldown for your team to exploit. It'll take you 30 seconds to come back in at 700, 20 at a real cost. You can spawn in right behind the frontline, come in with full health, boost and ammo, get your mercy invulnerability, and be there for your team.

The longer you are out of the fight, the worse it is for your team.

Some times repairing a bit helps.
If you are close to your base, you can do that.
Or you can choose to die at the right time.

You have to choose based on what is going on in the map but choosing to delay your death while still putting out damage is hard for some to do properly.

Repairing is not percentage base so the more health you have, the slower it goes.

Honestly the only times I do repairs are while I capture a beacon (if I can get the positioning right) essentially. The amount is so small and so slow that other than turning off broken legs/back... yeah I don't think it's worth the time investment.

While you can fire without losing the base repair effect, you can't move at all while it's going without breaking it (and rotating is free.) Which makes it really rare that it's even worth trying to go back and repair as again, it takes too long. Matches aren't long enough and respawn time too short to make it worth it.

But that's just my view on it.:raven:

It's very situational.
Do you want NOT to feed your enemy scores or you want to stay in the fight to try to hold the front?

Something that is strong-ish but have little of HP like some Gaza's then repairs worth it more. With transformable suits you can fly to the base faster (albeit at the risk of being shooted down by some laser).
If you are a sniper you generally cling closer to the base. In junkyard space battle it's easier to go for repair than in space base, where time wasted on reaching the base often doesn't worth it.

The nice thing about repairing is that you kinda serve as a "base guard", especially if you have personel radar perk on your suit.

Yes, If you have the chance to do because you feed enemy team a score every time you die, Capture point or Bomb enemy base won't mean anything when your team member drop like flies every time because they want to refresh their new MS... fall back a bit to do repair is one thing that make your team win easier. You will survive 1-2 more shot if you do repair a bit.

use MS with EXAM or HADES you will have a reason to repair

Sometimes if my team forgets to cap points and I'm badly damaged. I'll leave my suit at the base and then go cap a nearby point. From there I can head back and pick up my suit at a full 100% repair.

Otherwise I only fall back to repair if the fighting has lulled.

I drain the repair tool once and that's all you should be doing tbh, any more is a waste of time.
RX-3DR Jun 8, 2023 @ 10:33am
FYI, you can't repair stuff that you've blown up from using things like EXAM.

It's better to only repair when you have nothing more important to do. If you land a good shot to open an enemy to getting stomped or save a teammate from getting knocked around to death, it buffers the cost of you dying. So unless you're in a situation where you're certain your team is able to manage on their own, it's better to just stay in the fight and look for an opportunity to contribute.

Repairing on the field is only for emergencies with busted legs, repairing on the base isn't too bad but it's still a lot of time for a fraction of HP. You should try to gauge if your assistance will be necessary in the next 20 seconds (e.g. Enemy team isn't constantly rushing down your team, fights mostly being slow mid-range trades). If your team just wiped the enemy team one by one, you have the one decent opportunity to repair because they'll either wait on each other to respawn or 1 or 2 guys will respawn on their own and just get punched around.
