Traitor team mates attacking you?
Has anyone else run into this? Had this happen twice now. First person ended up on my team twice on different days and took the time to come up to me out of nowhere and take shots at me. And just now had another person actively go out of their way to hunt me down before the game kicked them.

Dunno what their problem is. I'm no veteran and I have niche skills but I've managed to get to B flat using mostly supports on lower costs, so I think I'm not too bad.

Only time I ever shot an ally on purpose was when they were basically body-blocking me from getting back into cover (like literally walking at me and preventing me from getting around them while being shot at by the enemy).

Some people are vengeful weirdos. You playing Support is what gets you picked on more so than others. They're probably angry at you and want you to move up.

If he sees you sitting around waiting for targets to move into your shots during his respawns, even if it's only for brief moments, he's going to get the impression that you're just hiding way too far behind and get angry over it. Rank is not an indicator of whether or not you're doing good enough. Any suit with Sniper in the name is generally a red flag.

Raid/General where the fights tend to be too messy, it's difficult to isolate an individual. Even if you identified one, you don't want to be fooling around on the frontline. But from the respawn map, you can easily see if a Support has line of sight to where the battle is.

Maybe you pick a unit that they deemed as "troll pick" or from their pov you are the one that's dragging them down.

Met this kind of teammates many times back in the console port.

Once I lost it and attacked a friendly Raid (G-3 Gundam) that was sniping as if he was support

It's a shame people treat support like that. I am a somewhat mobile sniper though. I asked some veterans to watch me play and they said I'm doing everything alright. I go around taking out legs for team mates being attacked and I take less time since for some reason my niche skill is no scoping from long distances (this is my first PvP game so I still have a lot to learn, especially melee since I utterly suck at it).

I have had my fair share of friendly fire... mainly when im playing support and some braindead raid decides to go into melee and tank the shells im firing across the map.

I actively attack teammates who ride the shortbus IRL.

if my entire team is glue eaters, I don't mind getting ejected from a match.just means I don't run the risk of matching with em again.

You might be a good sniper or you might actually suck at it, i can't tell at all, even if you managed to get to B rating, there are always chances that you managed to get there by being carried by some skilled players due to how stupidly innacurate the MMR system is.
I personally think that a good support even when using a sniping suit knows when he/she needs to move forward instead of just camping and be useless while the frontline is packing so much heat. Sniping doesn't always need to be done from far away with a scope and you can also be a good midrange support using sniper suits, so move up and assist your frontliner teammates when the situation calls for it.
The frontliners can tell if their support is actually good at supporting or suck at it simply by seeing how the enemy suits are interrupted when they are being attacked or when the support help sets up follow up attack for them (e.g. by staggering the enemy suit so they can follow up with a melee downswing). All these are more likely to be performed by good midrange supports instead of faraway campers.

Here's an example of how someone can be a good midrange support even when using a GM Sniper II, a suit which probably many would think to be only suitable for sniping from far away.

Same, even above B there's quite a number of glue eaters staying in the backline.

Getting ejected from a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ match is a nothingburger

Thank you very much for the video! Although I could camp and shoot from far away it's not something I like to do since it leaves me vulnerable to raids and also other snipers figuring out my location and interrupting me. Mid range suits me fine since it's enough room and I can avoid getting flashbanged by explosions. I got no idea how many of you on the frontlines deal with that.

I'm still learning but hopefully I'm at least helpful!

People really don't like sniper supports that much.
