Please for the love of god, stop picking GM Sniper II and camping

This ain't cod, if you have no idea how to use the unit to SUPPORT your team, don't bloody pick the suit. And if there's enemy support fire, move for ♥♥♥♥♥ sake.

Map dependent, if there's good lines of sight from long distances it makes more sense to not be underfoot where things can go from mid-range to point blank in a single moment. Just don't stay somewhere where you have no line of sight into the combat.

It's more than just map dependent.

If you're too far behind, you're not really a priority target to the enemy team, which means that whoever is in front is going to be taking more heat. With you being so far from the enemies, it's harder to identify the priority you need to take with targets. It's hard to go wrong when you're shooting the closest target to you, which tends to be a threat to you or is currently slapping your teammates nearby. It's easier to pick the wrong target when you have a difficult shot to make against a moving Raid near your team, where you risk hitting your teammates, or the safe easy shot against the General standing over the corner.

People dont realize that sniper types are all range, meaning they can do as much damage close as you can do long. Oh? I'm wrong, you want to Kneel and aim and stuff? You do that, stay allll by yourself away from the rest of the team so when another person, ANYBODY comes to you... No one can help you and your throwing the match.

Stick close to your allies when you snipe, Shot the targets your attackers are closet to, Stun them so Your attacker can Melee and stun lock them.

*IF* you notice the Raid doing more damage then you and their isnt any supports o the other team YOU ARNT DOING YOUR JOB.

Last note: If your mobile suit has a sword, use it. Full armor ground type is a general. 2 sword swings. Its meant for you to knock their legs with your big ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cannon, hit them twice to the ground with your sword, step back and hit with your micro part destorying arrow needle things. YOU OWN. But no, stay all the way in the corner, use that ONE weapon and forget about how mobile you are.

I've played against some absolutely terrifying snipers, and I've also seen jokers trying to camp the hill on impact site alone and getting stunlocked by enemy artillery units or deleted by any semi-competent raid.

As someone who adores this particular suit, I can and will stay far away from the enemy when I need to, because it's bad at cqc. HOWEVER what people should know is that if you pump damage items into this suit, you can annihilate enemy legs without having to rely on scope or high range, making it a decent midrange fighter.

It's actually one of the few decent CQC supports with the whole 75mm / side slash / repeat x6 combo. Not as good as the G-Line Full Custom (which is one of the few supports that actively encourages charging into melee range), but it's still ok.

(It should go without saying, do not use melee custom parts, the slash is used to keep the enemy from being able to react).

Limb damage Spec super gundam sounds scary af.... i should try doing it some time.

Limb damage Spec super gundam sounds scary af.... i should try doing it some time.

As someone who suffered a lot by support MS using these specs, i can guarantee that it's annoying af since probably they will aim at your limbs if there is at least another MS close to you, just to make your escape harder

Especially any rapid fire leg shredders...don't remember which unit it was but it had a really quick burst of beam shots that tore my legs up from full in a second.

I started using it recently, though I think I might be missing a custom part or two to help with that (should I get the "extra part damage" one if I'm going for that?).

I've also been using the GM Rifle on my Custom a fair bit lately, doesn't have one-tap staggers but if even 20 rounds of the mag go into the target it's noticeable DPS all the same.
