Hey inkxz,
Something came up, and it's being handled. For your information, we have launched Scope X on other platforms as well in case you didn't know.
I’m guessing that Tactical Magnifier may have used gameplay footage from another game without permission, which could have led to a DMCA takedown request. Most likely, they just need to update the store page. Please note that this is purely speculation.
For reference, take a look at this discussion post:
https://steamcommunity.com/app/3356750/discussions/0/510700860420922047/
As for why Scope X has been delisted, we are currently unable to share any details.
Yes it is pure speculation on my part.
That discussion was started back in March and no update from the developer whom previously was in constant communication with his player-base and now hasn't responded for a number of weeks.
There had been a lot of accusations that it was 'cheat software' and that it allowed some players an unfair advantage.
As ScopeX seemed to disappear around the same time as TacMag it seemed reasonable to assume that it may be for similar reasons as CrosshairX was adding a zoom function to the overlay.
..... I couldn't say
I use both CrosshairX and TacMag because having the eyes of a 50 year old gives me an unfair disadvantage against players with top spec PC's and young eyes.
I hope both developers get their products back on Steam :)
You know what help old eyes see better and is not cheating? Glasses.
You are cheating because you are a loser. Not because of your eyes.
Crosshair overlay is just a few pixels regardless of your monitor, a bit like having dirt on your screen, just in a handy place. It doesn't help in any way with precision, that's down to mouse control.
The real world is actually outside your window.
Hope this helps
I used to use masking tape :P
