How to prevent Crosshair X web page from opening when you shut down Crosshair v2

I bought Crosshair v2 and later Crosshair X. I usually use Crosshair V2 for the fast simplified hot key menu. However after I got Crosshair X it always opens a Crosshair X web page from Crosshair V2 instead of silently exiting on a F3. This even persists after uninstalling Cross X. I can't find a setting anywhere to turn that web page display off. Is there a way to prevent the web page from appearing?

No, we've designed it that way.

I think that's a bad design...
But I solved it by disabling The Microsoft App Store so it couldn't pop up on me.

1. Press Windows key and search “PowerShell”.
2. Right-click “Windows PowerShell” and select “Run as administrator”.
3. Copy and paste this command in the PowerShell window: Get-AppxPackage *windowsstore* | Remove-AppxPackage .
4. Press Enter to run the command.
5. Once done, close the PowerShell window.

I still get a small dialog about not being able to find the App Store, but that's far preferable over a huge slow loading App Store window pop up on top of a game still in progress where you can be killed by something you didn't see...
