CoD compatibility?

Hey hey! Simple question here--does anybody have any experience using this program online in any of the more recent Call of Duty games? Annoyingly, their history regarding external software that aids the quality of life is rather inconsistent (I'm NOT talking about cheating, lol), so there isn't much precedent for me to go off of.

For example, I believe I'd read that they were okay with FoV fixer apps (to a maximum angle, maybe 120°?) up until MW2 (2009)'s multiplayer, then they seemed to have an issue with it... Then it was fine again up until Ghosts or Advanced Warfare, I think? I just recall reading mixed accounts for different Call of Duty games, but that's gotten me confused enough to feel the need to ask here.

My point is that I have no clue how Activision and their Ricochet anticheat view a simple crosshair overlay app. I purposely avoided using it in the beta, but I would still like either an official statement from them or the results of community testing if anybody's got some experience to share :3

Just forgot it was active for an entire game of DMZ in MWII, and nothing happened. I'll amend this if anything does, but thankfully it seems fine :3

Disclaimer: I was using the Windows Store version through the game bar. I have no clue if that would make a difference, but I felt it should be said.

I'm also curious to use it in the current MW2, I only used it in Dead Frontier 2, no problem.

I've used it with DMZ a few times with no issues, so you should be good :3

but the reticle isn't always in the center of the screen, for example the idol sway and the reticle going above the center of the screen because of recoil

Yeah, the aim is a bit more dynamic, so you've gotta train yourself to watch your weapon's sights rather than this app's crosshair. There are a good few games that do that, and I both like and dislike it to some extent.

I really only use the app to give myself a point of reference, so I know where the true center of my screen is. It's helpful for me in a specific and limited way, but it doesn't necessarily give an advantage in the way that most would think of that (especially in these games with more dynamic viewmodels)--which is perfectly fine with me! Feels like an accessibility option rather than any sort of cheat, which probably helps legitimize the app :3

So its not bannable right? I wanna use it but I know some games consider any "overlay" as cheating due to their screenshot anti-cheats

If MWII '22 has different standards than MW2019 and Cold War, then I couldn't say; it's been several months since I've played that one. The latter two have no issues with this overlay, though!

By default, Crosshair X shouldn't trigger any bans for you. That isn't to say external crosshairs may not be allowed in the title. I honestly don't know. It is worth looking up or asking their support.

Its been years since i was PERMA BAN in MW2 and this Crosshair X is the only THIRD PARTY app that running on my backround overlay while playing.. except to the Armour Create and other peripheral apps which other said ricochet marked it as third party app also. now im thinking that this app causing my ban on CoD MW2. i dunno.. /sad
