If you're planning on using Blueprints for your 10hr speedrun, then you'll also want to consider using Blueprints that are custom to your specific seed - if that doesn't feel too 'cheaty'. An example would be, saving your game, then flying around and planting a few 100 wind turbines in a large out of the way area, interspersed also with solar panels as well to 'connect' everything. I could easy take an hour or so to manually place all of those turbines while still maintaining a decent compactness/density. but after you plant them, it's pretty easy to make a mass blueprint of the entire area. Re-load back to where you were an hour or so ago, then fit that new blueprint to your current terrain, and fly around for 5-7 minutes covering the same space in a fraction of the time it took to design in the first place.
Again, not necessarily required - BUT achievements were not released until after Blueprints were implemented, so it stands to reason that the the Devs chose that 10hr timer WITH at least moderate blueprint usage by players in mind.
If you're doing Blueprint for the 10hr run, remember not to fall into the trap of creating your early and mid-game blueprints 'too big', as you will be limited by your available tech how many items can exist per-blueprint. I have a starter mall that is in 5-parts that can be plopped down after the initial unlock (150 items or less) and then additional early and mid ones that work after the first upgrade (300 items).
You can create as large of blueprints as you want at any point in the game, but you can only PLACE blueprints that fall within your item count limit, as dictated by your current tech
