For each 10 stone you feed into the smelter it'll output a single silicon ore (after the 10 second processing time)
If you need High-Purity Silicon that can be made in either your mech of in another smelter; at a ratio of 1 high-purity silicon for each 2 silicon ore you consume.
Note that because of the very slow speed and very high resource consumption most people view the stone to silicon path as at most a temporary stopgap until you can set up silicon mining on another planet and start shipping silicon back.
